2010-2011 Junior-Senior High School Curriculum Offerings
When you select courses, please be certain you make informed decision
and consider a variety of options. You will need to focus on long term
goals that match your interests. Regardless of whether you plan to attend
college, technical school, join the armed services or the work force,
the courses you select now will lead to building your knowledge base and
preparing you for what lies ahead. You should always try to make choices

The Lackawanna Trail Junior-Senior High School 2010-2011 curriculum
is updated with several new courses including courses that are
eligible for college credit at Keystone College.

educational needs.

The years that you spend in seventh and eighth grade will prepare
you for entrance into the challenging curriculum of the high school.
As you complete your studies, it is of great importance that you
dedicate the time necessary to master the content taught. Each
skill learned will prepared you for academic success in the future.

The High school curriculum features several Advanced Placement offerings including AP English, AP US History, AP US Government, and AP World History, as well as courses which earn college credit through our partnership with Keystone College. Students may also choose a Vocational/Technical option or School-To-Work Experience and earn up to 2 units of credit for their experience in the workforce.
When selecting your subjects, check for prerequisites as some courses will require them.

Dual Enrollment with Keystone
College
Dual Enrollment allows students to take college courses and earn post-secondary
credits while completing high school gradation requirements. Lackawanna
Trail offers several dual enrollment courses including AP English, Honors
English IV, AP US History, Honors Word History, Honors Psychology, Honors
Chemistry, Honors Physics, Honors Statistics, Honors Calculus, Honors
Anatomy and Physiology, and Honors Spanish IV. Contact the Guidance Department
for more information about these courses.
