What year did you graduate from Trail?
I graduated from Trail in 1996.
Did you attend any schooling after leaving Trail?
I attended Niagara University where I received a BBA in Accounting and was a member of the volleyball team. I’m also a licensed CPA in Massachusetts.
What are you doing now?
I currently work in the Office of the Controller at Harvard University, where I’m part of a team that is responsible for the University’s investment and endowment accounting and financial reporting. I’m fortunate to be living in beautiful Rhode Island, where my husband and I are raising 2 kids and spoiling 3 dogs. I’m involved with the Parent Teacher Groups at my kids’ schools, currently serving as a co-president and previously serving as treasurer.
How has a Trail education helped prepare you for where you are now?
I’m grateful for the education I received at Trail. Because of its small size, I felt as if each teacher knew me personally and had a hand in my educational development. They pushed me to be successful in a caring and supportive way. I also look back at my years on the Lions’ volleyball team with fondness, as they instilled the importance of teamwork and good sportsmanship in me, not to mention a life-long love of the sport, which I continued playing past college. I now enjoy watching my kids learn those same values while playing the sport I love so much!
