Dear Lackawanna Trail Jr./Sr. High School Community,
It is with great excitement, enthusiasm, and a deep sense of positivity that I introduce myself to you. I am truly honored to continue being a part of the Lackawanna Trail family, and I look forward to further strengthening meaningful connections with our students, families, and staff. As I begin this new chapter, I am eager to contribute to the vibrant culture of learning and collaboration that defines this remarkable school community.
Allow me to share a brief overview of my professional background. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in Social Studies (7–12) and am currently completing a Master’s degree in the Science of School Leadership. As I enter my twelfth year in education, I remain deeply passionate about fostering student growth and academic excellence. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to serve in a variety of leadership roles, including Department Chairperson, Assistant Principal, and Principal. Now in my second year at Lackawanna Trail, I am thrilled to continue contributing to such a dynamic and supportive educational environment.
I firmly believe that a successful school community is built on positive relationships, collaboration, and open communication. I am enthusiastic about working alongside our dedicated faculty, supportive families, and talented students to uphold and enhance the proud tradition of excellence that defines Lackawanna Trail Jr./Sr. High School. By working together and building strong, respectful connections, we can ensure that every student is supported, encouraged, and given the opportunity to thrive—both academically and personally.
As I reflect on my first year at Lackawanna Trail Jr./Sr. High School, I want to sincerely thank the entire school community for the warm welcome and ongoing support I’ve received. It has been a privilege to join such a dedicated and caring environment. I am eager to continue building upon the strong foundation already in place and remain fully committed to promoting the success and well-being of every student. I look forward to the opportunities ahead and to working together to make this school year a truly exceptional one.
Respectfully,
Cody Opalka
