The Student Assistance Program (SAP) Teams are intervention programs staffed by teachers, guidance counselors, nursing staff, administrators and members from appropriate community agencies (Lackawanna/Susquehanna Office of Drug and Alcohol Programs, Children’s Service Center, Scranton Counseling.) The Elementary and High School teams are trained to identify and refer high-risk students to appropriate treatment. The primary goal of the Student Assistance Program is to help students overcome these barriers so that they may achieve, advance, and remain in school.
High-risk concerns: Substance abuse, physical and sexual abuse, suicide prevention, pregnancy or depression.
Referrals: Fill out a google survey form linked below. Referrals may come from students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
